CORRUGATED PLASTIC PRODUCTS

Corrugated plastic also known as Coroplast, is a durable,  lightweight, and moisture-resistant material, similar to cardboard structure, it has two flat layers, and a fluted core.

Corrugated plastic is used for many customized applications including cartons, dividers, shadow boarding and more.  It's rigid, yet lightweight design offers excellent support and protection. Custom printing is also available, providing marketing opportunities and brand enhancement.

Corrugated plastic is a popular choice for applications where packaging will be subjected to high moisture environments, or, when it may need to be re-used multiple times, or clean with water.

Corrugated plastic is a fully recyclable material, making it a sustainable packaging option.

PRODUCT DETAIL:

Corrugated plastic, also known as Coroplast is available in a variety of thicknesses and colours.  It is a reusable, waterproof and stain resistant material.

Corrugated plastic shadow boarding; Coroplast is commonly paired with foam for shadow boarding, or used as the sole material when high level of protection is not required, or when components may be oily, and it would require washing before reusing.

Corrugated plastic boxes are available in a variety of styles with custom printing. Often these boxes are paired with coroplast dividers and foam fitments to provide a greater level of component protection.
While cardboard tends to be a more cost effective solution, there are benefits to using corrugated plastic boxes in some applications:

  • Does not absorb water - will not lose structural strength in wet environments.
  • Can be washed - ideal for reusing
  • Strength - less likely to be crushed or bent.
  • Available with plastic hardware including:
    • Handles
    • Connecting clips (used to fasten box to pallet)
    • Structural lip (ideal for stacking and easier to lift)
    • Carton closing clip (replaces need for tape or staples)
    • Casters

Corrugated plastic dividers, also known as partitions or separators, are used for packaging multiple products in a single carton or tray. They offer durability and stability, and provide cushioning for safe shipping and handling of delicate items. Using partitions instead of void fill, maximises space, allowing for use of a smaller outer pack. It creates an organised package appearance, as well as increases productivity with faster product packaging.
Corrugated plastic partitions are designed to customer specifications, they do not have to be symmetrical, custom designs efficiently divide spaces in any size outer pack.  Coroplast partitions offer higher strength than cardboard partitions, they are more rigid and durable while still being lightweight. They are also available fabric lined, to ensure painted components can be packaged without surface damage.

Corrugated plastic sheeting is used as layer pads in applications where a more durable solution than cardboard is required. They are a great option for reusable layer pads.
