Celebrating 20 Years of SmartShield Packaging

Come behind the scenes at our 20th Anniversary Party

Celebrating 20 years in business is a significant milestone for any company, and at SmartShield, we were thrilled to mark this achievement with a day filled with fun, food, and camaraderie. 

Our industrial packaging company has been serving industries in Canada and USA  - including defense, manufacturing, aerospace - for two whole decades.

We knew we wanted to throw an anniversary party with a difference. And we think the result was a fitting tribute to our incredible team and all the hard work and dedication they’ve brought to the company over the last 20 years.

Strike a pose!

One of the highlights of the day was the caricature drawings, where staff were divided into groups and had their portraits drawn. It was a hilarious way to capture the spirit of our team. Even if we weren’t all flattered by our portraits!

Lip-smackingly good food

We were also treated to a mouth-watering meal from the Schmuck Food Truck, serving up burgers, sandwiches, wraps, salad and poutine. The food was a hit with everyone.

Boutique Baker wowed us with a beautifully designed cake and cupcakes, incorporating our anniversary theme perfectly. Check out those buttercream beauties!

And a big thank you to our Brazilian team members Juliana, Aline, and Kessia for making us some delicious Brazilian treats, complete with foam holders and flags representing our diverse staff.

Aline, Juliana, Kessia are also key members of our foam production team so they were bringing lots of their skills to the celebration. Their sweet treats were a hit with everyone and added a special touch to the festivities.

A new team initiative

We were excited to roll out our new profit sharing program at the anniversary celebration too. This program gives all staff shares of the profits starting in July, showing our appreciation for their hard work and dedication.

It's a way to reward our team for their contributions and ensure that everyone shares in the success of the company.

Let the games begin!

The team activity event was a blast, with staff participating in various games and challenges related to our Mission, Vision, and Values.

The competition was fierce, but in the end, we had some deserving winners who took home some brilliant prizes. Every member of the team went home with a gift card too, as a thank you token.

Onwards and upwards

Overall, the day was a fantastic celebration of our 20 years in business. We couldn't be prouder of our team and the work we do. Here's to many more years of growth, team fun, and client satisfaction and success at SmartShield.
